So, I fell off a chair whereas making an attempt to kill a spider. He won. I received a Level three Sprained Ankle. Ouch!! Physical Therapist says “Go get an Exercise Bike.” I’m like, “The one that my 74 year old Mother uses?” Yes, she says, exactly.
Well, who am I to argue with 2 torn ligaments and a very smart Physical Therapist? I came right, scan the reviews, and wished one thing tiny and cheap. I figured i might use it for a month or 2 and toss it into the garage.
I have to say, that i am so pleasantly stunned with this bike!
It is sturdy, silent, and that i can simply place my iPod on and ride for 30 to forty five minutes with the tension level at half dozen or 7 and it’s a good workout! i am 5’5 and also the height is perfect. My husband is 6’2 and may not ride it- he is too tall, bike is just too tiny. No biggie- it’s really just for me, kind of like my Pilates DVD’s. He can jog and that i can bike until i am absolutely healed and begin the heavy-duty walking once more. however you know what? i will not be tossing the bike in the garage- it’s an efficient, weather-impervious workout, and that i get pleasure from it.
Use hand weights if you want whereas riding to increase your heart rate and work those arms! i use three pound weights- and that i can feel it once.
Also- THE SEAT is difficult. I purchased the Sunlite Cloud 9 Gel Bicycle Seat cowl and it really helps. Still not exactly “soft and cushy” however no bike seat ever is, therefore the gel seat cowl makes a large difference.
Husband place it together in 25 minutes and it arrived in one day. 2 thumbs up!
